tokyo: dc comics super heroes!!!

ask any kid or adult in the street about superman, batman, the joker or wonder woman, and no one goes silent on you. the list of dc comics’ super heroes and super villains is endless, and has kept generations mesmerized for decades. this year the comics publisher celebrates its 75th anniversary, and to commemorate that the dc comics super heroes!!! exhibition opens at parco factory on sat – nov 27 [10am]. the show extensively covers the history of dc comics, and on display are props and objects that were used on the set of the superman and batman movies. there's also a shop section where you can snap up various dc comics items! but if you're not in tokyo, you can find ample consolation in taschen's upcoming release of 75 years of dc comics - the art of modern mythmaking, a book written by comics expert paul levitz that brings all characters, story lines and their creators to life through more than 2,000 images of covers and interiors, original illustrations, photographs, film stills, and collectibles. exhibition location: parco part 1, 6th floor, 15-1 udagawa-cho [shibuya].
