tokyo: a real un real age

anrealage is one of the most interesting japanese women's brands in recent years, and is on the verge of finally gaining global recognition for its forward style. currently on at parco museum is a real un real age, an interesting retrospective of designer kunihiko morinaga's work. it elaborates on the brand's design philosophy and displays exemplary items of 20 collections from the past decade, in addition to photographs of these collections by emerging snapper yoshiyuki okuyama and furniture pieces from the quirky rotating interior of its very own store in tokyo. a special section of the exhibition features a gift shop with select gift products, among which a special 240-page retrospective publication. mind you, the book has a special book-in-book design and is split between a picture book and a book with text that includes an interview with anrealage's creative director [on through dec 25]. location: shibuya parco part 1, 15-1 udagawa-cho, 3rd floor [shibuya].
