first staged in amsterdam five years ago, pretty much everything was the first major retrospective of the work of dutch photographers inez van lamsweerde and vinoodh matadin. partners in life and work for over 25 years, they were among the first to use the full potential of digital manipulation in portraying the human condition and eventually deploy it for fashion's sake. the two teamed up in the early 1990s and have created a body of work that not only straddles a variety of evocative genres and styles, but also many an alluring brand in the fashion galaxy an dthe occasional high-profile celeb. the vision of van lamsweerde and matadin has a vocabulary all its own, and it's able to tell a story like no one else can. an updated version of the aforementioned showcase is opening on fri - jun 12 at fotografiska in stockholm, and will present a similar selection of approximately 300 of the duo's work from different projects and phases in their stellar career. location: stadsgårdshamnen 22 [södermalm].
