st. petersburg: daynight lite store opening

© daynight - home of hipsters labels

daynight is one of the pioneers of designer fashion in st. petersburg, and its adventurous concept store with a neon-coloured tubular interior is the preferred address to splurge for many label addicts. these past few years the store branched out, and successfully opened retail spin-offs such as daynight shoes and a dedicated balenciaga boutque. and now the doors of daynight lite have opened, a store that pretty much fills a void in the city's retail scene. it exclusively carries a well-edited range of contemporary men's and women's collections, such as a.p.c., band of outsiders, bernhard willhelm, maison kitsuné and opening ceremony. mind you, most of these labels have previously been unavailable in town. to spice it all up, the apparel and shoe offerings are supplemented by a selection of books and cd's. the shop interior is a blend of the clean lines of 1960s scandinavian design and the spartan aesthetics of soviet apartments from the 1970s. location: naberezhnaya reki moyki 59 [tsentralniy].
