with the recent opening of dover street market in nyc, we're starting to wonder if designer shopping malls aren't just a thing in asia. especially with the recent opening of space ninety 8, urban outfitters multi level, brooklyn outpost. needless to say the multiple floors of fashion and lifestyle essentials here are somewhat less ostentacious than the average designer mall dossier [including a rotating pop up store, both mens and women's, a bar, rooftop and a few surfboards]. the space is a nicely converted industrial building with partitioned spaces created on each floor separated by wood, rope and various materials. a lot of raw timber and giant suspended dioramas. rustic wooden floors, ethnic accents, natural scents.
