since its inception in 1990, milan's 10 corso como has consistently ranked among the planet's leading emporiums. its eclectic concept is a reflection carla sozzani's sophisticated taste level, and effortlessly blends retail, hospitality, and last but not least art, in an appealing one-stop destination for savvy shoppers from across the planet. 10 corso como has in fact become a global brand of sorts, and the store has banked on its reputation with the opening of satellite concept stores in tokyo and seoul, and now also in china's bustling fashion capital of shanghai. the store is a collab with trendy international, a well-established chinese fashion conglomerate, and occupies a four-storey glass structure in the jing'an si area that was designed - according to feng shui principles, yes indeed - by american artist kris ruhs, who also happens to be sozzani's partner in life.
the retail space measures a sizeable the 2,500 sqm. [26,910 sq.ft.] and similarly to the milan mothership, the store features an eclectic set of sections, including a gallery, a bookshop, a restaurant and a café-patisserie. and to spice up the happening vibe even further, it'll additionally present an ongoing series of unique and personally curated presentations and exhibitions of design, fashion and art, and sometimes in collab with designers and artists. the ground floor is very much conceived as a multifunctional space and thus will be the main stage of 10 corso como's many transformations to come. presented here are the store's sections for design, cosmetics, 10 corso como's branded products and bookshop. a happening pastry café with an outside terrace is also situated here.
