seoul: prada transformer

the high-profile chanel mobile art tour may have been prematurely aborted, prada boldly steps in to launch the spectacular prada transformer. but this isn't a travelling show, you'll have to go to seoul to see the series of cross-cultural exhibitions presented in a hybrid shape-shifting venue designed by starchitect rem koolhaas. the prada transformer combines the four sides of a tetrahedon: hexagon, cross, rectangle and circle into one pavilion. the structure, entirely covered with a smooth plastic membrane, will be flipped using cranes, completely changing the visitor's experience with each new presentation. first one up is the waist down - skirts by miuccia prada project, previously shown in tokyo, shanghai, new york and los angeles, and opening in seoul on sat - apr 25. location: next to gyeong hui palace, 1-126 sinmunno 2-ga [jongno-gu]. © prada
