hailing from sunny california, ami sioux is a paris-based photographer and musician who has worked for a number of our preferred reads. her latest endeavour is a self-released zine project which explores fashion designers that represent a certain notion of woman that sioux finds appealing and believes in. for the first edition of this quirky new zine series she picked new york-based designer david michael for his androgynous yet sophisticated silhouette, and worked with artist langley fox hemingway as a muse. each issue is hand-made in los angeles by paper chase press, and will pair one specific woman and with one specific designer of her choice. all photos are shot on 35mm film with very little retouching. no hair + makeup team or a stylist are involved, each woman is presented as she is, and she's styling herself. mind you, the series will be released in a limited edition of only 100 copies per edition. the series is exclusively available at concept store colette in paris, but can also be purchased online if you reside across the big pond [u.s. shipping only]. store location: 213 rue st.-honoré [st.-honoré].
