following a number of pop-up stores and installations across the planet, études studio launched an introductory presentation last december in the hugely popular marais neighbourhood – one we happily talked about in a previous post – and which has now morphed into the collective's very first permament retail space. designed by paris-based architecture practice ciguë and in collab with founders aurélien arbet and jérémie égry, the store has a wonderfully secluded courtyard location and occupies a gallery-like ground floor unit of approx. 200 sqm. [2,153 sq.ft.]. the aesthetic is wonderfully austere and adapts well to the elongated dimensions of the space. furnishings are few and subtly blend into a meticulously constructed linearity that's captured in a variety of subdued materials such as concrete, steel and smoked glass. floods of daylight, allowed in through an expansive row of windows, add a sense of serenity to the store at any time of the day. études studio's new store stocks the brand's full range of men's apparel, accessories, collaboration items, and of course, its masterfully designed range of books. location: 14 rue debelleyme [marais].
