paris: qasimi homme a/w 2011 collection

emirati designer khalid al qasimi continues the trail of fashion futurism, this time infusing his qasimi homme a/w 2011 men's collection with various influences, ranging from traditional armour and body scars to cave art. the silhouettes are bold yet predominantly androgynous, a little surprising given the set of testosterone-laden inspiration sources, and the designer's vision and craftsmanship are probably best captured in the series of jackets made from hand-dyed leather and rabbit fur and a bulky high-collar coat or two. shown here are three exemplary looks that we particularly like. qasimi homme is available at select stores across the planet. © qasimi homme
