© steven holl - storefront for art and architecture by steven holl + vito acconci, new york  currently on at momo galerie is pieces of evidence - today clothing, tomorrow buildings, an exhibition that uses japanese designers issey miyake and dai fujiwara's remarkable a-poc collections [in particular their king + queen s/s 1999 collection] as departure point for an exploration of art, design, performance and fashion. the duo twisted rules and conventions and crafted something unique, and the show is in fact a tribute to their groundbreaking innovation and skills. in addition it's a dialogue between experimental works from different periods and fields, and free works revealing their paradoxes and multiple aims. a slew of artists, designers and architects are presented in the show, including steven holl, hussein chalayan, yoko ono, marcel duchamp and vito acconci [on through apr 30]. location: 10 rue beaurepaire [canal st.-martin].
