paris: paris-delhi-bombay

while the rise of india as an economic powerhouse is felt more and more around the planet, the centre pompidou in paris draws up an interesting cultural analysis with paris-delhi-bombay, a massive exhibition that explores this country through the eyes of both indian and french artists. on display are works of over 50 artists from both countries that reflect india's many changes, and that address a variety of inevitable social, political and historic topics. the show aims to bring western and indian cultures together through their artists, and to cast a new light on india and its equally dynamic contemporary art scene [on through sep 29]. location: place pompidou [marais]. © domus / subodh gupta - ali baba [2011]
