after an extensive renovation hotel o has revealed its new three-star hospitality concept by paris-based design practice ora-ito. located in the heart of the french capital, amidst designer boutiques and many renowned landmarks, the hotel now features supersleek, futuristic aesthetics that are matched with a warm atmosphere. hotel o is structured around a quiet courtyard garden, and its 29 rooms offer the comfort and the amenities that today's savvy traveler needs. these include a queen-sized bed, a flat-screen tv, an ipod docking station and obviously, there's free wifi internet access. you can even pick a pillow from a special pillow menu! the hotel offers three types of rooms.

the cocoon room is the most compact one, but still very suitable for double occupancy. one notch up is the larger odyssee room, and the most spacious is the galileo room which comes with a separate lounge area. interestingly, each room has been given a different colour scheme, ranging from a deep purple to soft beige and onwards to a bright yellow. a destination in its own right is hotel o's bar in a secluded ground floor section of the premises. ora-ito's design goes full throttle here, and has resulted in a supercool, futuristic ambiance with majestic curves. the drinks list is equally fancy, featuring plenty of tasty nibbles, cocktails and then some. location: 19 rue hérold [étienne marcel].
