savvy multibrand boutique french trotters has come a long way. we still remember the cutesy little boutique in the bastille area where it all started back in 2005, packed to the guilds with cool cherry-picked men's and women's items by owners carole and clarent dehlouz. gradually making a solid name for themselves with their city chic offerings, french trotters has grown into a mini retail empire that draws paris' hipster community to its doorsteps in droves. its latest expansion move is a full-fledged flagship in the marais area, one of the city's leading and most competitive shopping grounds. the store measures a spacious 200 sqm. [2,153 sq.ft.] spread over two floors, and is designed in a simple contemporary style.
the wooden flooring [albeit alternated with mediterranean tiles and on the first floor polished concrete ], whitewashed walls and carefully selected range of wooden furniture and displays form the perfect backdrop for the store's merchandise. this is a one-stop lifestyle emporium as it not only carries men's and women's fashion collections, but also a matching range of cosmetics and products for your beloved home. the brand list of the new french trotters flagship is endless, and currently includes commune de paris, visvim, opening ceremony, nigel cabourn and engineered garments for men, and levi's made & crafted, jérôme dreyfuss, mm6, mark mcnairy and pomandère for men. and the home trophies? in that category there's astier de villate, pendleton woollen mills and khadi & co. to name but a few. this flagship store replaces the men's store that was previously located further down the road. location: 128 rue vieille du temple [marais].
