amsterdam-based music agency sizzer and film production company superette from paris have joined forces for a new exhibition series called the amsterdam invasion. the kick off of the launch edition is thu - oct 10 [6pm / click here for access] at superette's gallery space at its new headquarters in the canal st.-martin neighbourhood, and features the works of a diverse group of young creatives that are emblematic of the dutch capital's flourishing urban scene. for the inaugural show of the amsterdam invasion the organizers have made quite an effort to come up with a cool and very talented lineup, featuring illustrator father futureback, tattoo artist emile steenhuizen and illustrator gino bud hoiting. mind you, some works of the aforementioned three artists have been especially made for this show while others will be created live during the showcase. another invitee is red light radio, a cult radio station based in amsterdam's notorious red light district. during the opening and the following weekend they'll be broadcasting live with french and dutch artists, such as zaltan, cosmo vitelli, hugo mendez and benjamin vidal [on through oct 13]. location: superette, 104 rue du faubourg poissonnière [canal st.-martin].
