online: for obama

when traveling to fukui prefecture in oct 08 to cover the obama for obama campaign in obama city, photographer keith ng discovered the town not only embodied the cultural complexity of small-town japan, but that obama had pinned their dreams and aspirations on a man who had become a universal symbol for hope and change. fittingly, he just released for obama, a poetic portrait of a small japanese town that tried to dream big, the document of a road trip, and an ode to obama city itself. the book is available online and as of next week, at several tokyo bookstores. © keith ng
