flying under the radar is a newly established dance company, headed by new york-based founder and creative director marlon taylor-wiles. originally from houston, taylor-wiles studied at the boston conservatory and previously danced for armitage gone! dance under supervision of karole armitage. a contemporary dancer with a clear artistic vision, he has now advanced to the next level, presenting the dance group's inaugural work where am i at lightbox. opening tonight [7.30pm] with three additional shows held on sat - jan 10 [2.30pm + 7.30pm] and sun - 11 [12.30 pm], the piece innovatively fuses contemporary dance and a digital art installation. it explores identity and a sense of self, and aims to engage viewers in a reflective look at our modern day mentality which increasingly focuses on the individual above all else. the performances by flying under the sun are part of the lightbox / ddtr series. click here to order tickets. location: lightbox, 339 east 38th street [murray hill].
