© josé parlá - left panel of the dekalb avenue station diptych  fans of artist josé parlá can indulge in a new show, opening thu - mar 3 [6pm-9pm] at new york's bryce wolkowitz gallery. dubbed walls, diaries and paintings, the exhibition features no less than 15 new paintings, the creative result of the artist's exploration of various cities that he visited across the planet. from istanbul to havana and from tokyo to new york, parlá absorbed the many colours and textures of the various neighbourhoods and alleyways he came across, and recreated them in an intriguing way on canvas as only he can. a new monograph by the same name will be on sale at the opening party. location: 505 west 24th street [chelsea].
