the fanbase have known it for years: steven alan's isn't just about its very own signature collections and curated fashion brands, it's an entire lifestyle. giving a new incentive to expand their horizon even further is the brand's recent opening of the steven alan home shop, an emporium that totally delivers lifestyle in a plethora of home items. the store is located on the premises in tribeca where steven alan previously held office, and features a simple but sophisticated retail environment with whitewashed brick walls and wooden shelving and displays. an abundance of plants dot the interior and add a homey vibe to the place.
it offers a quirky but well-edited selection of goods from around the planet, varying from rugs and kilims by kea, furniture pieces by garza marfa and khadi and co., to an elobarate selection of auntie oti's homegoods, special collab glassware with brooklyn glass and even a tasty selection of frozen fruits and vegetables from hudson valley harvest. the store also sees the debut of j. pickens for steven alan, a capsule furniture collection that was crafted in collab with local designer jason pickens. the steven alan home shop is very much conceptualized as a contemporary curiosity shop where products frequently change for that added element of shopping surprise. location: 158 franklin street [tribeca].
