spanish for vantage point, aurora lópez founded style emporium mirador with a specific concept in mind: the multi-faceted, cosmopolitan scope on fashion of herself and her team. situated just north of washington square park on the ground floor of a historic carriage house, the shop oozes a homey charm. while much of the building's original elements have been carefully preserved, modern elements - notably sandblasted timber, used for flooring and fitting rooms - have been added to create a subtle contemporary look. mirador is leisurely furnished like an understated living room, featuring a few eames chairs, clothes racks and shelving, all in white, in addition to a few well-kept potted plants. lópez and her team share an avid passion for travel, style, quality and individuality, and this results in a constantly evolving curation of menswear, womenswear, accessories and also art.
