the interesting emory douglas: black panther exhibition launched last week at the new museum [on until oct 18]. the show focuses on the graphic work of emory douglas, former minister of culture of the black panther party. his work was issued in most issues of the party's newspaper and has become iconic an representation of its many struggles. on display are an elaborate series of posters, newspapers, and prints dating from 1967–1976. location: 235 bowery [nolita]. © emory douglas / artists rights society - black panther [1969]
