for a/w 2012, the duckie brown collection is a dynamic play on volume, proportion, patterning and a distinctive ode to the british isles. certainly one of the more directional seasons for the brand, the impact was a sophisticated exploration of shapes, colors and texture. the graphic framework consists of hybrid blown out plaids, tartans, fair isle prints and an assortment of contrasting harris tweeds and micro herringbones.
key looks included peacoats, bombers, tailored slim fit jackets, wrinkled tweed and long wool overcoats in exploding plaids layered over circular cut trousers with ample leg room, twisted inseams and drop crotches. shirting and knits expanded on the proportional play being both fitted and loose and in a variety of patterns and lenghts. the mood of the season - a masterful intersection of traditional tailoring, spacious fits and stylized anglo prints.
