new york city's superpier, a multi-faceted culture and creative hub in the making, currently hosts the second installation of the boffo building fashion series. presented is a fashion and architecture retail installation by luxury eyewear brand linda farrow and design practice neiheiser & valle. a shipping container and surrounding warehouse space at the superpier has been radically transformed into an expansive landscape of stone and light, providing the backdrop for more than just linda farrow’s collection of luxurious eyewear, but an experience that transforms the brand for its fanbase in the big apple. the only objects present are the linda farrow glasses, suspended against an undulating environment of piles of stone, gold displays, ethereal mirrors, polished marble, and crisp light. parallel walls of mirrored reflection multiply the space in both directions.
on display is a selection of eyewear from the linda farrow collection, as well as its celebrated international designer collabs. also presented for the first time are the s/s 2014 collaboration collections of the brand with suno and 3.1 phillip lim, as well as continuing collaborations with designers like dries van noten, jeremy scott and the row. but that's still not all, folks. in celebration of the 10th anniversary of linda farrow's relaunch, a special capsule collection is also put on display and for fans to snap up [credit card only]. this is a luxurious selection of collab projects created with leading designers, including shoes by nicholas kirkwood, lingerie by agent provocateur, mawi jewellery and the first linda farrow handbag [open through dec 24]. location: superpier, 25 11th avenue [chelsea].
