the issue of eco-sustainability is an urgent one, and with the fast rise of several new players in today's world economy it's only natural it should play a key role in the growth and development strategies of any nation. opening on sat - feb 4 at mumbai's galerie max mueller [5pm / 1] and studio x [7pm / 2], and at is the interesting group exhibition examples to follow!. curated by german cultural debater adrienne goehler, the show aims to raise awareness for the fact that a constructive sustainability cannot make do without the arts and sciences, and that one needs to learn from them how to think in transitions, interim solutions, models and projects.
and in terms of awareness, goehler recognizes the importance of the cultural dimension and focus, and asked a mix of indian and foreign artists to showcase works that have been inspired by the theme of sustainability. artists include miguel rothschild, manish nai, gustavo romano, ravi agarwal and dina shenhav. part two of the examples to follow! exhibition will launch one week later at three other galleries in town. location 1: goethe institut, kaikhushru dubash marg [fort]. location 2: 192 dadabhai naoroji road, 4th floor [fort].
