white rabbit is a new restaurant that has put east london firmly on the map. located in the emerging dalston area, the place has caused a bit of a sensation in the area's hipster community, and saves them a tedious commute to soho or shoreditch to be able to enjoy simple but well-cooked seasonal english fare in a very cool setting. the restaurant interior somehow mimicks the menu, featuring bold industrial elements that give the space a distinct character. in fact there are just two: the seriously functional-looking iron buttresses in the center of the restaurant, and the massive concrete bar along the wall both inevitably anchor white rabbit's cool raw look. softening it all in a balanced way are the are the parquet flooring and vintage wooden furnishings - and dare we say fabulous? - flower arrangements. so, what's cookin' at white rabbit? the establishment serves a very convenient all-day breakfast, also lunch on sundays, and obviously dinner. as said, the food is british but expect it to be imaginative and full of taste. changing weekly, the features classics such as rabbit loin and smoked trout, in addition to hard-to-resist desserts and cocktails for pre-dinner meets. location: 15-16 bradbury street [dalston].
