stefano mezzaroma is one of italy's promising, next generation artists. after dropping out of university he immersed himself in the house music scene doing numerous stints as a dj, only to continue equally successful as a self-taught artist soon after. one of the highlights of mezzaroma's career so far is the fact that his work was exhibited at the italian pavillion at the venice biennale in 2011. taking cues from established pop artists and the constant bombardment of ads, mezzaroma's work has grown into a unique perspective on the societal effects of politics, branding and marketing on an international scale. opening at london's italian cultural institute on tue - feb 28 [6.30pm] is no jokes please, we're italian, a show which features a series of striking new works. don't miss! location: 39 belgrave square [belgravia].
