at the upcoming edition of the victoria & albert museum's innovative friday late series on fri - nov 30 [6.30pm-10pm], the middle east takes center stage. linked to the museum's current light from the middle east photography exhibition, the event features a series of cool gigs, art installations, workshops and screenings with an underground flavour, and which are indicative of the region's multi-faceted and flourishing creativity. this edition's program includes highly peculiar - but nevertheless interesting - iranian-american b movie screenings by new york-based bidoun projects, moroccan sounds curated by younes baba ali and anna raimondo for saout radio and an intriguing interactive installation by febrik, a london-based platform for participatory art and design research projects for creatives in the u.k. and the middle east. mind you, access to friday late is free! location: cromwell road [south kensington].
