london: first thursdays art exhibition

the nikeid studio opened last month at boxpark mall and has been a buzzing hub for nike sneaker fans ever since. opening today [6pm-9pm] is the first thursdays exhibition, its third art showcase. nike have commissioned 11 local artists to interpret and illustrate the free id design inspirations of 11 british athletes such as perri shakes-drayton, mo farah and dai greene. the art work will be on display at boxpark's outdoor gallery on 18 art boards along the corridors of the upstairs units [on through may 2]. graphic artist james jarvis will be a new piece on site during the show opening and a limited edition book curated and designed by intercity studio will be available exclusively from the nikeid studio for shoppers designing the latest nike free run+id . location: corner shoreditch high street + bethnal green road [shoreditch].
