© beams - an innovative jacket with clever extras
anyone who's been shopping in japan knows beams. founded three decades ago, it has become one of the country's leading retailers and a fixture in many streets and shopping malls with an amazing variety of a-grade collections for the most discerning of shoppers. one of its labels is beams lights, an apparel line that's very much geared towards life on the go, be it for business or strolling around town on a day off. although classic at the core, the design of beams lights items has a contemporary edge that makes it fun. beams lights' s/s 2012 men's collection features a string of designs exemplary for this versatile category. shown here are three items we particularly like. first one up is an innovative jacket made from an advanced high-density nylon that's not only light-weight but is woven in such a way it very much resembles pure cotton.
the jacket comes with a few clever extras, such as inner pockets to stow a magazine and a cell phone pockets, and a smaller one placed on the left sleeve to safely store keys. and what's a great jacket without a ditto shirt? this slim-fit western shirt in a liberty print - actually, there are three to choose from - is a good match. made from cotton, it has two front pockets that, similar to the cuffs, close with snap buttons. the final trophy we've set our eyes on is this yellow boston bag, crafted exclusively in italy by renowned suitcase manufacturer dell'ga from soft calf leather and fitted out with a sturdy canvas lining...but not only that. it's got two wheels and a retractable handle for easybreezy transportation. beams lights' s/s 2012 collection is available only at select beams stores in japan and can also be ordered online [delivery in japan only].
