robert geller knows what savvy city boys want to wear, lifting his laid-back yet eclectic style to a new level with his s/s 2011 collection. this collection was inspired by the rebellious youth of the 1960s and 1970s, and especially the ground-breaking, anti-authoritarian student movement in berlin. the collection features designs that clearly have a classic base and could have been your dad's, but not in the way he would or could have worn them...not in a million years! it's very contemporary through the layering and the mix 'n match of different fabrics. as for colours, there's lots of army greens and khakis as a nod to the militaristic response that often greeted peaceful protests. the various shades of reds represent the passion that marked the era’s youth movement. shown below are five looks that we particularly like. robert geller's s/s 2011 collection is available at select stores across the planet, including blackbird [seattle], assembly [new york], paris texas [copenhagen], ambush [singapore] and papillon [melbourne].
