© mykita - oh-oh, frédéric... in these fashion-eclectic times, it's simply impossible to have enough shades [wink-wink]. so, our newest fixation is the mykita x bernhard willhelm collab s/s 2011 collection of sunglasses made from mylon, a material which thermally adapts to the shape of your face. as you can see the result is as quirky as it's cool. bernhard willhelm took inspiration from austrian artist erwin wurm's many sausage-like art works, and blended in diving mask aesthetics. the frédéric is the smallest and most square-shaped of the concise collection, while the philippe has the greatest resemblance to a diving mask. the jacques-yves is the largest model and features relatively triangular lenses. each model comes in a matte black with a slightly mirrored coating on solid black glass, a matte grey that constitutes a counterpoint to its silver mirrored lenses, and in a bold pink with cognac-to-blue gradient lenses. the mykita x bernhard willhelm collab collection is available at any of mykita's flagships and at select stores across the planet, including opening ceremony [los angeles + new york], punto ottico [milan], tsum [moscow], the counter [cairo] and zío [seoul].
