eyewear brand mykita has launched its 2015 campaign, and it's one that's right up our alley. entitled cityscapes, it presents forward range of eyewear on models in unconventional places across new york city. the berlin-based brand once again picked acclaimed photographer mark borthwick to shoot the artsy campaign. based in the big apple he knows his way around town, picking cool places such as a small city beach in dumbo or the high line park to shoot a quirky mix of professional models, family members and friends. the urban landscape, comprising skyscrapers, linear façades and grey concrete provides the backdrop for the campaign, as well as an aesthetic contrast to the city’s greenery. the new mykita lookbook is a marriage of these disparate locations, and at the same time the images double individually as posters. the video below gives an insight how all the shots came about.
