london-based retail design agency studio xag has once again crafted a window installation for christian louboutin, and this time for the coming holiday season. the luxury cobbler's first boutique on rue jean-jacques rousseau in paris features the bespoke christmas tree display which consists of specially cast lasts of the brand's iconic pigalle shoe. presented in pairs, the white last is finished with the signature glossy red sole and arranged in concentric levels to create the recognisable tree form with support of a tonal metalwork structure inspired by shoe racks found in the designer's atelier. tree installations in select christian louboutin store locations also benefit from the addition of a motorised element, concealed in specially fabricated plinths. each tree is enclosed by a triple mirror screen, amplifying the scene and drawing focus to the hero product which sits atop the tree, illuminated by large chrome theatre lights suspended above. chrome studs denote the perimeter of the mirrored backdrop, adding an industrial edge while the window beds are completed with floor panels in christian louboutin's signature red shade.
