for its a/w 2012 collection japanese brand bedwin & the heartbreakers expands its americana style vocabulary by focusing on one of the most legendary rock bands ever to come out of new york citythe velvet underground. the band's gloomy 1960s urban vision and the peculiar, monotone dress sense [read: lots of black] of its members influenced the collection's aesthetics. different types of fabrics were picked to create multiple layers and express a multidimensional and more contemporary vision of black. the used graphics have been inspired by the visual heritage of andy warhol. shown here is a mix of six men's and women's styles that we particularly like. bedwin & the heartbreakers' a/w 2012 collection is available at select stores across the planet, including union [los angeles], odin [new york], four [amsterdam], i.t [hong kong] and the contemporary fix [tokyo].
