in a previous post we talked about the launch of shelter, a creative hub and business launch pad for next generation emiratis in booming dubai. a joint initiative by fraternal twin entrepreneurs ahmed and rashid bin shabib, who also launched a set of other successful creative businesses in town, shelter has recently relocated to new premises. shelter's quirky new location offers a contemporary range of services in a setting that ranks among dubai's coolest. designed by architect takeshi maruyama,
it's a basic structure made from recycled wood that's placed inside a converted warehouse. offering free, ergonomically sound working space [seating 35 to 40] for entrepreneurs, young professionals and creative people, it's also an ideal spot to exchange ideas with kindred spirits while working. with plenty of space, shelter is also very suitable for exhibitions, meetings and presentations of any kind. the hybrid venue comes with additional facilities, such as a café, a library and a bookstore. we're loving the innovative concept, don't you? location: al serkal avenue, warehouse 30 [al quoz].
