brussels: african photography auction

we don't know much of african photography, but this event at pierre bergé & associés in brussels has triggered our interest in its history, diversity and many talents. on tue - nov 23 [5pm], the auction house stages its first auction of african photography [1850-2010]. a wide variety of works by a string of photographers from across africa will be auctioned, including eminent snappers like seydou keïta [mali] and david goldblatt [south africa], but also contemporary ones such as richard lokiden wani [sudan] and nontsikelelo 'lolo' veleko [south africa]. location: grote zavel 40 [central brussels]. © nontsikelelo 'lolo' veleko - kepi in bree street [from the beauty is in the eye of the beholder series, 2004]
