nudie jeans pulled off a double whammy during the recent edition of berlin fashion week, launching a pop-up store - in conjunction with two other leading denim brands - and a full-fledged nudie jeans repair shop, both in the happening mitte district. the latter venture is located in a semi-hidden courtyard just off münzstrasse, and housed in a listed, late 19th-century building by architects poentsch & bohnstedt. the store measures a spacious 142 sqm. [1,529 sq.ft.] and features an interior design that matches well with the architecture. nudie jeans' very own in-house architect ida toll created a setting that perfectly captures the denim brand's values.
while much of the building's original details have been retained, such as the ceiling arches and industrial windows, she created a clean modern backdrop and furnished the retail space with select vintage pickings that add authenticity and character. a 1970s leather lounge seating takes center stage, while a prominent repair booth station faces the cash wrap. the nudie jeans repair shop is a pretty versatile space, thanks to the use of clothing racks suspended by leather straps. the store carries the brand's full range of denim and as the store name already implies, it incorporates a denim workshop where shoppers can have their old nudie jeans altered and repaired for free. location: münzstrasse 21, courtyard [mitte].
