© direktorenhaus - benjamin hubert's amazing 'pod' chair opened in june of last year, berlin's direktorenhaus quickly established itself as a prime design + arts venue with interesting exhibitions. currently on is materiality - the industrial design of benjamin hubert, a solo exhibition featuring a series of fantastic works by london-based industrial designer benjamin hubert. hubert established his studio in 2007 and has since worked with various international manufacturers. the studio practices industrial design but with a material-driven design approach that often requires a lengthy development period. the show elaborates on this distinctive approach and reveals a series of images, components, prototypes and materials that pretty much capture the vibe of the london studio. on display are new and earlier works by hubert, illustrating his striking craft and design principles [on through aug 30]. location: am krögel 2 [mitte].
