levi's has been hooking up with local communities in the u.s. through its levi's print workshop program. after stints in san francisco, new york and los angeles the brand goes transatlantic, opening a levi's print workshop in berlin to mark the global launch of its go forth campaign. the temporary facility is fittingly located at alte münze, a former industrial complex in the mitte area, and celebrates both craftsmanship and the city’s vibrant creative community. as such the levi's print workshop is a community-based screen-printing space, designed to facilitate creative production and collaboration. for the berlin edition, levi's collaborated with portuguese street artist alexandre farto a.k.a. vhils who sculpted an amazing range of portraits of berlin icons fadi saad, various & gould, joe hatchiban and sven marquardt into major building façades across town. the levi's print workshop is open through aug 18. location: am krögel 2 [mitte].
