shabd simon-alexander is an internationally known tie-dye artist based in new york city. she'll be at berlin's betahaus on sat - apr 27 for a crash course [6.30pm-9.30pm] and a tie-dye party [10pm-midnight]. the first is an affordable version of the artist's full four-week course, condensed into a seminar format. you'll learn various tying, dying, and shibori techniques, as well as basic colour theory, dye chemistry, colour mixing and design concepts for dying. on top of that, you'll also have the opportunity to participate hands on during the demo. once you know the trick, you're invited to stay and put your new skills to use during the tie-dye party afterwards! you can also join the party and skip the class as it's a purely fun hands-on experience which involves getting your hands dirty and making beautiful fabrics over a few drinks. click [here] to secure your spot on the crash course. this workshop is part of betahaus' event-packed artisan weekend. location: prinzessinnenstrasse 19-20 [kreuzberg].
