although they're an online retailer with an innovative business model, ace & tate doesn't underestimate the added value of a good ole brick and mortar presence. after setting up temporary shop at homebase amsterdam it's now berlin's turn, and the eyewear brand enlisted local design agency new tendency to create the setting of its ephemeral retail venue in the mitte district. amidst the austerity of bare concrete walls a gallery-like environment has been created where the ace & tate merchandise have been casually blended in. the many rows of frames sit pretty on chunky white displays, placed strategically throughout the premises. the walls are adorned by ace & tate campaign shots, while berlin-based artist mario lombardo adds to the quirky artistic vibe with an installation of his own [open through dec 23]. location: torstrasse 66 [mitte].
