the beirutkon exhibition, currently on at beirut art center, gives an interesting insight in the work of lebanese creatives anastasia nysten, carlo massoud, joelle achkar and marc dibeh. created during a workshop in 2009, the concept developed into an effort to offer an alternative to traditional souvenirs with a distinctive perspective on the city of beirut. interestingly, all products have a very personal touch as they're inspired by the creator's way of living and are crafted in their respective neighbourhoods [on through aug 27]. location: building 13, rue 97 [jisr al wati]. © nadim asfar / marc dibeh's set of personalized souvenirs
