© joe kesrouani - chabrouh dam 01  in a previous post we told you of ginette, the newest style hub for savvy males in beirut. next to stocking cool fashion apparel, accessories, grooming products and sleek furniture, ginette also exhibits art at the mezzanine floor art space. currently on is artist joe kesrouani's photo exhibition altitudes 01cp. kesrouani was aged seven when the lebanese civil war broke out, and he and his family fled to the mountains to seek refuge. it was during this time of isolation that he started taking pictures with his father's camera. on display are a series of nine alluring landscape photographs, taken around lebanon's chabrouh valley in the remote and mountainous faraya mzaar region. when shooting the images, the weather began to change in the early afternoon and winds brought in a lot of clouds, adding a different dynamic and rendering the landscape more expressive [on through apr 28]. the exhibition will travel to tokyo next june. location: convivium building, rue gemmayzeh [gemmayzeh].
