amsterdam: the fashion pages

it's spring time, and while mother nature is not yet in full bloom, amsterdam's the garage gallery is. well, sort of. opening fri – apr 8 is the venue's latest show, and this time it's artist michael de feo who has been invited to exhibit. based in new york city, de feo earned his spurs as a street artist in many an urban arena across the planet, gaining him a reputation as the flower guy for quite obvious reasons. de feo's current artistic practice is an extrapolation of sorts, reflecting his keen interest in the often bedazzling world of fashion by painting atop images he sources from various leading magazines.

not surprisingly, de feo's talent got noticed in established fashion circles, resulting in the recent release of a line of women’s accessories that he designed, a takeover of department store neiman marcus’ april catalogue, and last but not least, an influencer campaign for luxury cobbler christian louboutin. the showcase at the garage, aptly entitled the fashion pages, will display de feo's latest body of work, feauturing florally tweaked fashion editorials and advertisements, all derived from his recent takeover of ad spaces in bus stop shelters around new york city. if you'd care to join the opening of this show, just send an e-mail and we'll see you there!
