amsterdam: photomania

unseen is a new international photography fair in amsterdam with a keen focus on both undiscovered talent and unseen work by established photograpers. the inaugural edition is held sep 19-23 on the westergasfabriek premises, it aims to be a fresh new platform of cross-pollination where different generations of creatives exhibit new work, art galleries can spot developments in the field and, last but not least, visitors are able to immerse themselves in the visual splendour and snap up their photo object of desire. more than 50 leading galleries from across the planet participate in unseen's first edition, including galerie les filles du calvaire [paris], gungallery [stockholm], the photographers' gallery [london], kahmann gallery [amsterdam] and taka ishii gallery [tokyo]. next to the photography fair there's an elaborate program that relates to different aspects of the craft, and includes film screenings, discussions and exhibitions. and speaking of which, a special showcase dubbed fashion! puts 180 stunning works from camera work's renowned collection on display. location: westergasfabriek, zuiveringshal west, pazzanistraat 37 [staatsliedenbuurt].
