amsterdam: alledaags

wanna know what amsterdam is r-e-a-l-l-y like? it's wittily illustrated [and that's literally] in toby morris' book alledaags. the wieden+kennedy creative and new zealand transplant started a daily sketchbook diary last year, documenting his life and observations of his adopted city. the alledaags publication features a whopping 333 drawings, covering everything from canal boats and queen's day madness to vondel park picnics and notoriously blunt dutch service. the book will be released through selected local bookstores at the end of this month but can also be ordered online. all proceeds go to the guy champney memorial fund. what's more? there's currently a special showcase at wieden+kennedy's office hallway, where you'll find a slew of these drawings plastered on the wall [on until further notice]. office location: herengracht 258-266 [centrum]. © toby morris
