around a year ago a guy called michael decided to open a stop cooking at home and open a restaurant. but this is no average restaurant. it only has 20 seats, and the only way to claim one is to phone michael's mobile during the week. table for 20 is personal. the venture promotes home-cooked cuisine and the art of conversation. it also donates a percentage of all profits to the hope street mission. those lucky enough to get in will be sat on a communal table and left to bond with the folk beside them over antipasto and hand-rolled pasta with truffle sauce...there are worse conversation starters.
